Looks like Skating isn't Mac's only talent...
Very exciting things happening for Mac! He's written and performed a song which is featured on Hot 103's website as part of their campaign "Take a Stand Against Bullying".
On Tuesday morning, Ace Burpee played it LIVE during their morning show!
It's also part of a competition to spread a message about Bullying, so we're contacting everyone we know to support Mac by simply clicking on the link below. It will take you straight to the video of his song on the Hot 103 website. Click LIKE ! Too easy! If you have the time, enjoy the song and then leave a COMMENT about the message of his song.

2012 SKATE CANADA MANITOBA SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Hosted by the Winnipeg Region figure skating clubs, this competitive event is open to all registered Skate Canada competitive figure skaters in Manitoba. The 2012 SKATE CANADA MANITOBA SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS is stepping stone to other Skate Canada national events, the 2012 Skate Canada Challenge and 2012 Canadian Figure Skating Championships. We hope you will join alongside the many Winnipeg families, friends and fans of figure skating by supporting this event.

Saturday Nov. 5th 9 AM-8:40 PM

Skate Winnipeg Salutes One of Its Own!!!
Congratulations Mary Ellen McDonald for receiving the prestigious Elizabeth Swan Memorial - NATIONAL Skate Canada Award for 2011!!!
The purpose of this award is to recognize an indiviual for his/her contribution to the discipline of Synchronized Skating in Canada.
The critera for being presented this award include:
- Active and currently registered adult volunteer (including judges, technical specialists, technical controllers, data specialists, synchronized skating administrators and representatives, etc.) recognized for his/her contribution to synchronized skating;
- Reflect the characteristics of Elizabeth Swan -- dedication, perseverance, commitment, passion and spirit;
- A strong desire and interest in promoting the sport of synchronized skating within and outside the skating community;
- An individual who is aware of, and supports, the development of all levels of synchronized skating; and
- An individual who has given at least 10 years to the discipline of synchronized skating in a volunteer capacity.

Skate Winnipeg is pleased to present regular Dartfish skill analysis sessions throughout the regular season. Skill analysis is complimentary and sign up sheets will be available. Additional or advanced Dartfish skill analysis is also available - please discuss with your coach.

Calling all current and future Program Assistants!
Skate Winnipeg needs responsible volunteers to help out on our CanSkate sessions. If you enjoy working with kids of various skating abilities, please contact us and let us know which session you would be interested in helping with.
If you think you may be interested in joining our team please note that you will need to attend Program Assistant training. Attendance is expected, even for experienced PAs.
